On the evening of July 10th, 2024, the vibrant tech community of Jakarta gathered for the fifth edition of our "Your Tech Matters" Community Dinner Event at the prestigious Golden Dragon Restaurant in Grand Sahid Jaya Hotel. Focused on fostering connections and sharing knowledge among industry leaders, professionals, and tech enthusiasts, our fifth batch of “Your Tech Matters” was a resounding success!
The response and interest towards the event was remarkable, with over 148 eager individuals registering. While accommodating every registrant is certainly in Lyrid’s future plans, a vetting process was required due to space and capacity restraints, allowing for only 45 participants. Out of those confirmed, the event had an impressive turnout of 37 attendees.
The early registration period provided ample time for guests to engage in informal networking, setting the stage for a night filled with meaningful conversations and new connections. It was a delight to see representatives from various sectors, including IT professionals, entrepreneurs, and C-level executives, mingling and sharing their experiences. Informal networking was followed by dinner provided by Golden Dragon Restaurant. The relaxed environment encouraged attendees to continue their conversations, making the dining experience both enjoyable and productive.
Each attendee also had the opportunity to introduce themselves and explain their company or business, fostering a deeper understanding and connection among participants. This segment was particularly valuable as it allowed everyone to put faces to names and discover potential collaborations.
The highlight of the event was the panel discussion on "Powering Resilience in Critical Industries." The esteemed panelists included Handoyo Sutanto, CEO of Lyrid; Yusuf Hadiwinata Sutandar, VP of Technology Operations at BiznetGio; Ersad Diaz, Sales Manager at Weborion by Cloudsine; and Calvin Valentino, CEO of Rapier Technology International. Moderated by Reinhard Wilmer from Lyrid, the discussion was insightful, addressing key issues and innovations in the tech industry.
The panelists shared their expertise and experiences, providing the audience with valuable takeaways on building resilient infrastructures in critical industries. A particularly hot topic during the discussion was the recent ransomware attack on Indonesia's national data center, leading to a significant data leak. The panelists delved into the implications of such attacks and strategies for safeguarding critical data assets. Interactive Q&A session allowing attendees to pose challenging questions to the panelists. This segment was particularly engaging as it provided actionable advice and innovative solutions to the audience's real-world problems.
As the evening drew to a close, we delivered heartfelt closing remarks, expressing gratitude to all attendees for their participation and enthusiasm. A group photo session captured the memorable evening, serving as a reminder of the connections made and the knowledge shared. Even after the event ended, many attendees stayed behind to continue their discussions, further strengthening their new connections.
