It seems like everyday there’s a new innovative tech solution hitting the market. From leaps in AI advancement to new pushes within the quantum computing industry, the rate at which groundbreaking tech is being developed and offered to the public is rapidly increasing- for most people.
During his 15 year tenure in corporate cloud computing, our CEO and co-founder, Handoyo Sutanto, found two things:
Lyrid was founded in 2019 as a solution to both of these problems.
These past 5 years have proven to be a time of extreme growth. From evolving our products and partnerships while expanding our offerings of both, to clarifying our understanding towards the market we operate in, we’re steadily reaching new heights. 2024 marked another milestone in our journey of growth: we formed new powerful partnerships, further progressed the Lyrid platform, ushering in new marketing initiatives, and more.
2025 is going to be one for the books, but this past year has been one that we’re extremely proud of.
Here is a wrap up of Lyrid’s 2024:
Last year saw the development of core competencies within the evolution of Lyrid- from the addition of HelmChart deployments to our One-Click deploy, our platform has certainly grown from its infancy in 2019. This year is no different.
This year, we’ve significantly expanded our solution integration with different types of cloud and hyperscalers, offering a more comprehensive integration than previously available. With this new development, users are able to run Lyrid within the regional data centers that they know and love while also operating in platforms and services like AWS and Oracle. This capability enables users to run Lyrid even if they’re mid-migration, however this feature is only available to users that own clusters.
Our integration doesn’t just stop at hyperscalers and clouds, we’re increased our connection with Kubernetes as well. This year, we built Lyrid-native network and load balancer services, allowing users to host multiple services within the same clusters. These services allow users to define rules when provisioning application updates, enabling blue green deployments and rolling updates that increase uptime and testing capabilities. In general, our Kubernetes integrations offer stronger node visibility, encouraging user-level configuration and maintenance features.
Prepackaged apps are something we heavily focused on this year, too. Outside of offering more prepackaged apps throughout our platform, such as Ghost and Parse, we’ve expanded our hosting to private prepackaged apps. This feature allows users and organizations to develop and host private applications for their own use, setting the stage for them to eventually sell their application within a Lyrid-hosted application marketplace.

This year, our partnerships and sales efforts have grown significantly. In 2024, we were able to shake hands with 10+ companies, with more in the pipeline. Companies like Percona, Chatsimple, Accuknox, Cloudsine, and more joined our global tech network this year. In fact, our partnerships with companies such as Percona and Chatsimple extend past a sales effort:
From security companies, to AI support and DBaaS organizations, we’re thankful to have the opportunity to partner with companies with missions similar to ours that are setting the stage for next generation tech.
In terms of revenue, we experienced 3x growth from our numbers last year. Strong efforts from our sales team have resulted not only in more partnerships currently in our pipeline and deals throughout the year, but also in larger enterprise deals. These deals, both big and small, are setting up and growing our foundation for sales and runway while attributing to our presence within the tech space, something we’re actively working on bolstering.
With regards to our marketing efforts, we’ve significantly improved our approach towards SEO. In the beginning stages of our SEO, our process towards finding and creating around keywords was novice, identifying high value keywords but pitting ourselves against high competition. Our process towards SEO now includes a variety of different steps in identifying valuable keyword opportunities. From comprehensive keyword gap and competitor analyses, to consistent revamps and auditing, we’ve significantly improved our approach towards uncovering valuable keywords and staying competitive within a search-dominated landscape.
While our approach towards content creation has remained consistent this past year, we’ve increased the output of informational content. This year, our marketing team has created 36 blogs, covering a variety of tech topics and Lyrid-related press releases, translating well into our new graphic format for our social media channels. The Big Bang Newsletter audience base has grown significantly as well, with us migrating from Hubspot to GetResponse and changing the format and contents of our monthly newsletter. Perhaps the biggest shift in our content marketing is the addition of Lyrid Scenarios, a use-case based blog series that puts you in the shoes of different companies and industries and explores how Lyrid can help solve some common problems.
Complementary with our organic marketing efforts are our paid ads. We’re hyper focused on optimizing our search ads and refining our approach towards video ads, something we launched last year. This year, we created two different video ads in two different languages, targeting specific audiences within regions important to us, differing highly from our holistic approach last year.
Outside of partnering with companies worldwide, we’re steadily growing our global network through community efforts. From attending various tech events such as TWAIN Direct Developers Day, to hosting our own events, having a presence within the global community and working towards building a network that encourages accessible technology has been on our minds this past year.
Due to the strong efforts of our team in Lyrid Indonesia, ‘Your Tech Matters’ has grown significantly in all aspects. From behind the scenes elements like planning processes and venues, to the amount of companies and participants attending, YTM has ushered in a new wave of tech enthusiasm and networking within Indonesia.
For anyone who has shown interest in and / or attended any of our YTM events, we would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts! And a huge thank you to everyone at Lyrid Indonesia; YTM has been a huge facilitator in bringing new tech discourse to Southeast Asia, with access to groundbreaking tech being more open than ever before!
With deals currently moving through our pipeline and our team setting the stage for an epic 2025, it’s safe to say that our 2025 plans are already in motion.
To start, our product is going through a plethora of feature testing, with our engineering teams creating new capabilities for users and enterprises alike. We alluded to this in our engineering section, but be sure to stay tuned for an upcoming feature update!
Expansion is always at the forefront of our minds. Our mission is to lower the barrier of entry to innovative tech around the world, and while this is certainly easier said than done, we’re making progressive strides towards expanding Lyrid worldwide. For 2025, our expansion is aimed towards two regions: Africa and Latin America. Both regions are full of opportunity for developers and regional data centers alike, with a partnership within Kenya already being proposed and entering our pipeline as you read this. While our presence revolves around the United States and Indonesia, we would love to grow our tech network on a global scale, letting users access new tech all around the world.
To everyone involved in our journey- from users, partners, investors, Lyrid teammates, anyone who has shown interest in our journey- thank you for being here and supporting us! 2024 was an important year in our growth and foundation-setting, 2025 will be an even bigger year, one that we couldn’t fathom experiencing without you.
It wouldn’t be truthful to say that 2024 was a great year. 2024 was difficult for many companies for a number of reasons. Despite the number of innovative companies appearing, the amount of fundraising disbursed in 2024 has fallen significantly compared to reported numbers in recent years. Despite challenges created by the everchanging tech and financial landscape, we were able to persevere and operate efficiently.
Weathering through the storm of an arduous year is certain to yield a rainbow in the next; opportunities are within our grasp, and if our efforts in 2024 are any indication, then 2025 will certainly be an exciting year for Lyrid.
As always, have a great New Year!
