Founded in early 2021, Co.meta seeks to ease the testing experience for businesses. Co.meta’s solution is an automated testing software for codes and it continuously runs for application lifecycle management. It allows non-developers to do complete test automation in complex scenarios. Co.meta has the perfect solution for QA managers, DevOps teams and business owners that run into testing issues while updating their code.
“We would not have survived that hackathon without Lyrid”
The world’s largest testing hackathon brings together the four big testing communities to run all types of testing experiences. Co.meta was invited to participate this year but did not expect so many users and so much feedback.
Co.meta initially ran on dockers; however, the dockers did not match the level of scalability needed by the startup. This was proven to be a large issue during Co.meta’s participation in the world’s largest testing hackathon.
With Lyrid’s help, Co.meta was able to match the number of users demanding their service by hosting and distributing their solution through the cloud.
Lyrid’s cost saving solution for Co.meta’s clients makes Co.meta’s business model more attractive. Co.meta finds it worthwhile to sell Lyrid’s multi cloud management platform and serverless solution to their customers. This enables Co.meta’s clients to leverage the best prices at any moment in the day, with the option to move to another cloud if the price is better.
Furthermore, Lyrid offers a geographical tracking aspect which helps clients monitor how their website will react when users from different geographical locations visit and use their website.
It is difficult to accurately measure latency, pin time and browser rendering, but Lyrid makes it possible to test a percentage of users in each geographical location.
CEO Ralf Roeber says that major cloud companies send him an average of one email per week regarding a cloud outage for Co.meta. Lyrid fixes this issue by migrating system operations to other cloud platforms whenever the current cloud is down.
As CEO Ralf Roeber says, “I just want to run Co.meta and sell Co.meta and develop Co.meta. I don’t want to operate it.”
Lyrid gives Co.meta the best possible location for them to run on at every single moment and point in time. They do not have to worry about monitoring their backend system software every day— Lyrid’s platform automatically does that.
“Having [Lyrid] in between and balancing the load and the availability between [major cloud companies] is very crucial for me,” Roeber states.
Scalability will be even more important in the future. The market is projected to mature in one to two years for the testing community, and Co.meta will be prepared to offer their solution on a global scale.
